hi all, i have a question regarding one of my domain.

I loged into my sedo account about 3 hours ago, and the domain has about 95 views so far this month, with only one click that worths only 1 cent. and about a few minutes ago, I loged into my account again to check whether or not my other domain name is added to sedo, and i noticed something really weird; the domain name i mentioned early now has 103 views and with 18 clicks, and the revenue suddenly jumped to $11.22.

is this normal? if not, will my account get banned?

Update:
ten minutes later: now the domain has 109 views and 21 clicks which make the revenue went up to $12.34 I don't know what is happening...

Maybe you need to tell us the domain especially as it is not an open secret if you have it for ale on sedo ? and then members could at least try and find out what's going on for you otherwise it's just guess work !

This is the norm. $0.01 per click can turn into $9.97 per click and then back to $0.03.

Seems to be no rhythm or reason.

As for the spike in traffic, look at the source. Also not too uncommon.

I have become very accustomed to these ups and downs on Sedo.

now, the domain stays where it is. I notice that the domain traffic sources mainly come from India and the US, with about 11 other percents from Germany, Isreal, Bulgaria and Philippines. the domain is previously ran as a site in India i guess.

as Doc Com said, this up and down is very unusual..it seems to me that one single visitor clicked the ads for more than 4 times.

thanks for the replies!!

Well, if that's usual, how about a name that gets around 1,500 unique visits a month and no clicks ever, for months and months?

I'd take a close look at your optimisation on the name, Mallie...:)

It'd appear that whoever is coming to the page expects to find something else there - and, they don't click 'cos what they see doesn't meet their expectations.

Thanks, Chris. I did look at it before, and actually changed it temporarily to another parking company, where someone managed to get me just a few (two or three) clicks. Strangely, even though people mustn't be getting what they hope to when they look at the name, they still keep coming. They're mostly from Eastern Europe/Russia, I think - at least they were when I last looked.

Its very frustrating to get 1500 uniques & no clicks - at all, isn't it?

I don't suppose your domain means something entirely different in Russian, or some East European language, does it?...:)....Or, it wasn't a porn site, or something, in a past life...?...Lol

I have many names like that. Very frustrating to work tweaking and changing for optimization and still no luck.

Yes, Chris and Gerry, frustrating but also maybe a little intriguing. I don't think a previous porn history is involved, because would people keep coming back if they didn't find what they wanted?

If the name has xxx number of backlinks and a history of an active site and some age to it...YES, they would keep coming back. These are precisely some of the factors I consider when reviewing drop lists.

The older, the better
The more links, the better
A former site, the better

Capturing that traffic and monitizing it can be difficult in some (or many) cases when the traffic/viewers seek something in a language I am not proficient at. I am having the same results you described regarding Russia/Eastern Europe traffic.

Ah, now I don't feel so bad about it. :)
