I just got posters.us.com and apparently there are starting to be many sites with these country code extensions. What do you guys think? Do you think they will become more popular?

not many people like these, and I dont really like them.
However, they do serve their purpose for certain keywords.
I have a few of them, and some have tremendous traffic.
also good for SEO, and yes, I see more of them on the net and more sales from these domains recently.
I'd buy with caution, but would not exclude them.

US.COM domains are subdomains of the domain us.com.. go figure. It's the same as buying domain.dnforum.com. That doesn't look as nice obviously, but in my mind domains.us.com aren's real domains, and I would never buy one.

yeah its tempting to buy one since you can get about ANYTHING you want in them, but there is a reason for that.

I agree. If I wanted it for SEO, the keywords are what is important if all others are taken. You could also chck out Web.com and they sell keyword.web.com

If it's only from a SEO view, well just create keyword.one-of-your-short-domain.com

no ?

Sure, there is no harm in doing that. I if you want deleted.com you can also use deleted.choped.com. But since I have deleted.com it maps to that subdomain.

Yes, but in my opinion, for this to work your "one-of-your-short-domain.com" better be a very generic word and clearly beat the keyword in pages where it is present on the Internet. For example search google for "us" and get 2,340,000,000 pages and web has 2,080,000,000 pages then the search engine will take a look at the subdomain but if your "one-of-your-short-domain.com" has say only a few thousand pages, then the search engine will take a look at your "one-of-your-short-domain.com" rather than your prized keyword.

Hotels for example has 80,000,000 pages for comparison
