Looking for an appraisal and possibly some feedback. I have't playing this game for the past 3 months so I am a little rusty. Tell me what you think of these. I registered 9 in total just in case.

FootballTickets.us
BaseballTickets.us
CheapBooks.us

I will only list 3 for now. Any chance for success?

Regards.

All 3 have nice potential...

Build and they will come...

As far as undeveloped value ..yes, maybe a few hundred bucks , plenty of people looking to be in the "ticket" business...

Developed ..you'll have a very nice monthly income..

nice affiliate program here..

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking about setting up something but wanted something easy. I will check out ticketsnow and see what kind of affiliate service they have to offer.

All domains are worldwide. Domains resolve to IP addresses so as long as the IP address isn't behind some firewall and as long as it's routable anyone can get to it. If you mean marketable, well the intent to use these domains was to only offer services in the US. Now please if you are going to respond please have something of some value to add to the conversation.

Well I am new here but I guess I know who's advice to stay away from. Thanks for your $50 appraisals, I will file those away.

If .us can only be registered by someone in America then whats the point ? at least .com is worldwide

Whois-search, the .us is the same what .co.uk is for you guys. The only difference is that we have 300 million people over here. In other word, our market is much bigger :)

Bigger problem with .us or .net is customers will be lost to the generic.com.

.us tells everyone you are a new business and couldn't afford or get the .com.

Of course price matters for most people. That is why the .us will become a big TLD in the US. I think that it will take the number 2 spot after the .com in a near future. A .us sounds much better and go well with more industries than for instance .net.

Most people do currently assume a domain will be at a .com extension, but that will surely change with time.

Someone I know (who is not involved in domains except for occasionally registering names for his clients) recently stated that .us, .net, .info and other extensions "are for losers."

"What about your client with www.yourclientsdomain.net?," I asked.

His response? "He's a loser."

But I happen to like .net, .info and .us, in that order.

I have to agree with eeedc to a VERY minor degree....

With the proliferation of TLD's we are going through (and no doubt more to come), it could get quite confusing.

For instance, you hear a site on the radio or through word of mouth. You get home but forget the extension (seeing there are now so many), what is the first extension you are going to try? - .com of course.

.com will always have the upper hand in this respect.

Just my $0.02 worth.

BaseballTickets.us will get you BIG bucks. Keep your cool and market it aggressively. Best of luck.

I appreciate the discussion you guys are having, it's very interesting. I bought 9 of these domain names on opening day of registration in the hope that .us would get a little more internet recognition. Anyone else here register any .us domains? Has anyone devleoped any?

Wow, I really liked some of your names. These are the best ones from the list:

MountainBikes.us
TravelPackages.us
DentalPlan.us
RunningShoes.us

and CountrySongs.us is just behind the 4 top ones imo.

Good luck!!
