With the DTV transission, the main use for used TVs right now is the landfill! OldTV, ClassicTV, maybe; not this one for $10K!

Wow, as far as I know there is a very small market for used TVs. They're cheap enough now you can buy new ones for next to nothing.

Good sale for the seller! :)

most posts here seem to think it's overpriced.

as i believe they are looking at the obvious, rather than thinking "outside the box"

as a model for selling "everything" that "used", the domain "usedtv.com" is perfect.

from selling used clothing, to appliances, and used tools, this has huge potential.

imo...

With the DTV transission,

Maybe that's what the buyer had in mind. Instead of "usedtv", maybe he sees it at "use dtv"?

I know, it's a stretch, but you never know

I just think the term "used" brings negative connotations to mind. That's why you see "used cars" often described as "pre-owned cars".

'USED' may be a valuable word in an economic recession.

In the US, at least, you'll be able to get all the 'used TV' that you want when traditional analog TV broadcasting turns off on February 17, 2009. While you can get digital converter boxes cheaply, economy (or none), thrift stores will likely not be willing to accept used TVs shortly after that date as they will be flooded with what will be mostly toxic waste rather than a salable item.
