I assume he's talking about .com domains spelling a numeric word like:

one.com
two.com
twentyfour.com
fifty.com
and so on...

Without knowing the exact domain it's impossible to discuss the value.

yep. i think that's exactly what he means.
each one is unique.
twentyfour.com is great
one.com is mind blowing
eightythree.com isn't good imo

I thought he was talking about like:: w1n.com or f33t.com

but now your twentyfour thing makes more sense.

I think names like one.com through ten.com would be easily worth $50k-$100k+ depending on the buyer. Really depends on the rest, because something like onehundredfiftytwo.com would probably be reg fee unless the specific number had a meaning.

:?: eh?

if you did that by mistake,
firstly it would be 766677766
secondly, they would type in numbers by accident too for the '.com' & notice

now someone will go out & reg. 766677766.com LOL

Agree. I see some use of 7676 with .mobi or .tel, but no relation to .com right now.

it will only work for mobi if .mobi becomes the default, like com used to
i don't think it will become the standard personally, but some phones may incorporate it like the predictive text thing

Interesting topic.

I just read that Google and Yahoo may have some interest in "numeric equivalents"

http://jamptap.blogspot.com

Worlddial is a major player in the numbers game.
If it catches on, .mobi will be a natural.

I can't see these ever taking off either. But then again I think that the Brits are bias.

These kind of 'vanity' numbers are/were much bigger in the states:

Adverts all the time for call 1-800-lawyer and similar.
Whereas in the UK we've never really had adverts giving out a number in that way. In fact I always thought what a waste to have letters on traditional home phones - and what's the point? Of course now with sms messaging those letters are useful, but for vanity .mobis - I just don't think it will take off. Not in Britain - would have to change a culture...

But it's only a little island compared to the US
