There are tons of them available. As those disappear, the value goes up. I'd say the market right now tops out around $99. Maybe higher for really good ones, like 3 of the same letter, or a .us variation of a popular .com site. Of course, you must find a buyer willing to pay the price, and until that moment, the value is the registration fee.

Avoid the crummy letters you mentioned until the others are gone.

I agree that unfortunately, .us has yet to hit its stride. However, as Duke indicated in a recent DNJournal piece, it seems to be following the trends set by earlier released extensions.

As far as the value of any domain, 3 letter or not, depends strictly on what someone is willing to cut a check (cheque, eh?) for.

I have NRA.us and some here have speculated that it may well be worth $xx,xxx. I find that hard to believe at this point in time but who knows, it may eventually get there.

I think 3 letter .BIZ/.INFO are wiser investments as these can be used worldwide. With .US you have to be very careful. If you are buying at reg fee ($4.95) you can't go wrong as surely you could sell for $10 and double your money. Would not invest in country code 3 letters with Q,W,X,Z,Y unless it has some special significance. Names like MHS, NRM, ADG with strong/common letters like that would be good buys obviously.

Also the value of three letter .us is low,I think it's a good invest.
If you have a low price reseller account, then you can reg a .us at 4.95$ and easy to sell at >10$.

I have a three letter .us that has received multiple offers. I have turned down $X,XXX.xx offers.

Care to share with us the domain? :)
I would suspect that is NOT really a 3-letter .us, just like name.com is NOT a 4-letter .com. ;)
