Hi!

What can be the value of a generic domain name making consistently 600 USD per month?

I know that it varies from case to case, but please give me a range.

Thank you in advance.

$14k-$50k depending very heavily on the name. From a pure revenue standpoint for generic though, that range is what you're looking at for current value.

it's really a waste of time to ask these questions, without knowing the domain.

it also depends on what a buyer is willing to pay.

also setting a price based on revenue for a generic name, especially if it's 1 word is quite foolish

TM = 6 months revenue
typo = 12-24 months revenue
generic one word = 10 years revenue
everything else = between 6 months to 10 years revenue

IT Web Team, Thanks for the info.

Thanks to anyone who expressed their opinions in this topic.
The proposed price guideline follow in general the NameDrive Park&Sell programm.

NameDrive said:
Generally sales follow these guidelines:
a. For a domain with a possible commercial value - 6 months revenue or higher.
b. For a quality typo - 6 to 36 months revenue or higher.
c. For Generic names - 60 to 96 months revenue or higher.

Can be these guidelines regarded as generally accepted by majority in industry?

These are the prices that NameDrive's Park and Sell program "GENERALLY" offer.

It is not meant as an industry standard, but their figures are not far off for the majority of domains out their.

also take the time to read the full explanation

* We do not limit the max price of the offer. The buyer is required to offer a minimum of 6 months revenue for domains he/she deems to have positive commercial value. All buyers are private investors and do not represent NameDrive. All fees are paid by the buyer.

But I am well aware that you already know this.

NameDrives Park and Sell is a fantastic program for people looking to move domains quickly and it is a real god send when you need to raise some cash quickly.
