What is most profitable? If you were to buy a .ca or .com domain today.

Would you rather buy a noun or a verb? or maybe an adjective?

Well I prefer a noun instead of a verb. Also it depends on the quality of that noun/verb.

This question is too general. In most case nouns are better. In some verbs and in some adjectives...

It really depends on every domain. For example which one do you prefer? success.com, succeed.com, successful.com ? Success.Com is the most valuable one in my opinion for example.

It is too general as domainator said.

relative :boink:.... an end user will want a name more suited to "the" actual product or services provided or ... the brandability. This is a major factor in my opinion. A re-seller is looking for parking revenue, natural traffic value indicators, Unique traffic, Ad values, CTR etc .....

However we all know the end user is a much more motivated buyer (singular venture). And the "brandability" factor has a larger footprint. Marketing for "brain stain" can produce a monster..... (google, yahoo, AOL etc ...) and tends to be the current formula for end users.

Optimally "one" (end user) would hedge the developed v-property with several related names in order to secure the markets potential value. Pointing select traffic to the actual url or to theme designed landers. But if "one" has to choose between verb or noun ..... "I" would say "noun".

A verb is slightly limited to the description in the act "of". The root word is the generic state. However ...... the propencity to differ from the "norm" ..... means brandable properties and marketing campaigns. The schools of thought are:

A) spend a great deal on the name and rely on the natural traffic to generate the numbers needed .....or ....

B) Buy a "brandable" and spend the bulk on marketing.

Personaly I think branding is the motivated path.

JUST a humble "O"
