Thought some might appreciate this quote from a WIPO decision that just came down, holding that the fact that the Complainant failed to renew the domain name is a factor that bolsters the Respondent's legitimate interest.

"There is also, in the RespondentÃ¢â¬â¢s favour, the inference to be drawn from the ComplainantÃ¢â¬â¢s failure to renew registration. This common name became available to whomsoever became lucky enough to buy it. "

That is great to hear. Unfortunately, how do you know
who had it before you registered it.

I realize you can go to the internet archive
http://webdev.archive.org/

But, that only works if they had a popular site.

And, I do not know of a database available to me
that list all former owners. (Like a property tax office
for real estate.)
