Microsoft's new Vista operating system is expected to generate more than 150,000 new tech jobs and boost the industry's economy by a whopping $70 billion dollars, suggests new research commissioned by the software giant. "There is economic activity that's going to happen anyway, but we think Vista will have a bump effect in 2007," said John Gantz, IDC's chief research officer.
