Hi there,

I am looking for seperate appraisals for Vodka.info and Gin.info. Without saying too much, we all know what they are. These are the wonderful alcohols that makes our favorite cocktails... or to those who like straight ups... :)

Vodka.com was sold for $3 million back in 2006.

Decent .info domain, easily $20-30k to reseller, at least mid - high $xxxxx to the right end user! Good luck! :)

Hello Shambles... I do respect your opinion and you might have your point why you think this pair of names worth less than $10k together. However, you're the only one that has said that so it shows your understanding of the market. :)

Without meaning to be a party pooper I'm surprised at these high valuations as any SEO guy will tell you, getting a .info to compete in Google with .com's is exceedingly hard. Google is quite clever at spotting "commercialised" .info domains vs. those used for their intended use, information.

But that said you might get a good price from another speculator. For an end-user I'd definately take $5k if it was mine to sell :)

That's harsh. You asked for opinions. If everyone tells you just what you want to hear what benefit do you get? He may in fact have a better understanding of the end-user market ;)

If you truly respected his opinion, you would take it into account. Your sample size of appraisals isn't large enough to discount his assessment, and you should expect a wide-range of values to hone in on the true value. Everyone has a different perspective on the market, and, ultimately, a domain is worth what someone is willing to pay - if you get an offer at or exceeding what you believe they are "worth" then that bodes well, otherwise it's important to realize many factors play into domain sale price, including trends, end-user interest, etc. many of which cannot be fully controlled. .info is maturing and has a bright future, but we don't have firm models of valuation as we do for generic .coms - this means, in many ways, there are some great values in the extension but also a lot of unexplored territory, good and bad.
