I have been duped by a DNF member who is now here by TRAFFIK nickname (as far as I know). I had seen emortgage.org and sent an email to Vsesco for its traffic numbers. He replied with these figures;

Vic Santoro aka vsesco aka TRAFFIK scammed me out of $800 for emule.ca. About 3 days after I purchased the name the traffic dropped from 500 uniques to 50.

When I read through my logs on the first couple of days, I was getting about 18 uniques from a link on www.pchangout.net. When I visited pchangout.net there was also a full screen popup of emule.ca (popups show as unreferred, 'type-in' traffic in apache logs). I didn't think much about it until the traffic disappeared and I visited pchangout.net and saw the popup was gone (and replaced with... emortgage.org).

I questioned vsesco/traffik about this and he told me that pchangout.net only gets 15 uniques per day. Considering I was getting 18 per day from one of several links on that site, not including the popup, even with a generous 10% CTR it must be getting at least 180.

He told me he would give me a refund, but I should wait a few days and see if the traffic improved. Sure enough, the traffic did improve, but when I visited pchangout.net the popup was back! I PM'ed him and asked that he remove it so we could see the real stats, but he told me a friend of his controlled pchangout.net and he didn't have access. I asked for a refund and he did not reply to any of my subsequent emails or PM's.

Another senior member has contacted me and was also scammed out of a large sum of money for a traffic domain. I am sure he will make himself known, and I will alert him to this thread. If the mods would like to contact me I can supply PM's and stats as proof.

I would like my money back, as I'm sure the other members would. I also expect there are a few other members who will have similar claims. I would suggest you make yourselves known, as you're not alone.

Quite frankly, I'm more interested in stopping this guy from scamming anyone else. TurNic, you have obviously been scammed by the same popup - I saw emortgage.org as a popup on pchangout.net during the time period shown in your stats.

I would like to hear suggestions from the mods as to how we should proceed in the return of our money.

I don't believe pchangout gets so little traffic. A week ago it had a home page hijacker on it and took over my home page.

I have spoken to him via PM. He stated he wanted to reply but that couldn't because the thread had been closed. I immediately reopened it and informed him of that.

If anyone is wondering, the reason I put a temporary closure on the thread is to prevent it from getting out of hand. We are trying to give the other party a chance to respond to a situation like this before that happens, as it tends to do sometimes. In this case, it was re-opened after Traffik was made aware of it.

Traffic can be manipulated very easily. I never give any consideration to traffic claims when buying domains. Its better to build it up yourself through search engine inclusions, Adwords, wom, etc.
