So a couple times people have used Sedo as an agent to negotaite with me for a domain name purchase. Both times the first offers have been lowballs, but that's not what bugs me. If someone wants to make an unsolicited lowball offer, so be it. The problem is that Sedo is not very responsive with counter-offers.

This last time I responded with a counter offer immediatly and heard..... nothing. So 10 days later I sent in a message, just to follow up. Then, 11 days! later I finally get a response back from Sedo. Sorry, client not interested for that amount. Thought it would be much less. Well, OK, but why not just let me know that right away? Or within 24 or even 48 hours of asking my asking for an update? Certainly doesn't cast Sedo in a good light....

i think there might be negotiations between sedo and the client that you don't see and it is time consuming especially if these are through emails and the client don't check the email everyday or he didn't respond immediately to have the time to think ... so be patient and don't be upset

you might have a gold mine domain as people paid 49$ to sedo to buy your name

cheer up and good luck

Did you put a minimum bid in?

That may be. But they could at least tell you that they are waiting for a response from client or whaterver. IMO any online business that takes 11 days to respond to an email asking for the status of things is telling you "don't do business with us unless you have a high threshold for delay and aggrivation". Even worse since Sedo has no centralized telephone support.

a deal was closed on the 24th of August. They got paid before that and I transfered the name into their account on the 24th of August. I havent heard anything from them. I emailed them a few times with no reply whatsoever.
the status is still please transfer the name into our account.
I emailed telling them I did that on the 24th and they can check whois, but no reply whatsosver. It is annoying.
