I think it was possibly due to her voluminous posting? Not too sure, as I tuned out her posts after a while...

A lot of freeposting. In addition she would get confrontational at times. Especially when given negative feedback and or appraisals on recent domain purchases of hers.

However she was quite helpful, and brought much activity to the forum back when DNForum first started. If you ask me, her removal/banishment from DNF was more of a slap in the face, then the appropriate action.

I too have known Wanda for some time and have had no problems in dealing with her in various forums and by email.

Wanda is always willing to help, and spends much time researching the net and makes interesting and positive posts at other forums we are both members of.

At the time of her ban, the moderators made their decision, which is not for me to say whether this was right or wrong but accept it was their decision at the time.

Since then this forum has had a complete turnaround since its early rise to net fame and I personally feel that by allowing Wanda access to the forums once again, if she so wished to participate, would bring another source of useful information to this site.

This is based on my direct dealings with Wanda, and some of you may not agree with what I have said. this of course is your right.

Vialli

p.s. Gregr, if you do let Wanda back, you better increase your bandwidth :D

gregr.

see below .. a typical response from klickmarket in may 2002 in response to "the gang" attacking fellow dnforum members who may have expressed a different opinion from THEIR minority view!!
This is the reason why both myself and msWandaMay left dnforum and started up an alternative forum over at sitetutor.net where this negativity is not allowed.

I SEE THE GANG ATTACKING AGAIN..!!

THIS IS PITIFUL !!

WHAT A WAY TO TREAT MEMBERS !!

surely a quiet disagreement is sufficient, rather than a full blooded assault on a member !!

pulling another poor soul apart.......its disgraceful

so now he says he is off to a different forum somewhere out there, thanks to another negative display from senior dnforum
affiliates.

keep this up and you will end up talkin to yourselves !!

klickmarket !!

Yeah klick, reminds me of the Afternic days where Wanda was attacked by the Afternic barbaric hoards and the emerging fame of spinelessrat.com.

Some brought the style of conduct over to dnforum when it was a still a fledgling.

It used to be snoops, and safe and matt that brought things under control.

Wanda took to me when I was a newbie here and was going to give me Danbucks before she was eliminated by the likes of DnPowerful.

I agree that there was an element of ganging up against a member which led to Wanda's decapitulation, especially when she was/is a hot-blooded outspoken Texan.

Chill out guys. If you don't, now NamePopper will surely enlarge your member.

wanda let me know that greg has asked...no encouraged wanda to drop by again which i think is good of him

whether wanda drops by now is up to her and i can see her point if she was reluctant to come back but i think that shes big enough to put this all in the past where it belongs and get back to being a dnforumer (thats now officially a word!!:))

by the way - if im not being too nosy - how much did this site exchange ownership for??

It's fun to watch supporters of Wanda hit the spin cycle button. Given that boards have no memory, I will refresh everyones:

Wanda was banned because:

1. She physically threatened members, including me, for disagreeing with her.

2. She made racist comments which were typical of her Texas charm.

3. She called former moderator and all-round nice guy Sys a "****ing asshole", amongst other charming epithets.

4. She would bomb the forum with 1000 replies in 60 seconds, with her utterly non-sensical nonsense. In short, she was 2 buckshot short of sanity...at all times.

5. Worst of all, she was a bore. She wasn't banned for that.

I say bring her back. There is no better advertisement for why she was banned than Wanda herself.

But please, drop the spin.

Sure CJ, I'll drop the spin and tell it like it is.

You provoke, you get provoked. It's a vicious cycle. Only that Texan's do it large :D

Mole, I'm all for hot sauce on a Sunday afternoon, and many, many people have joined me for a little spicy debate without crossing the line into threats and overall insanity--including you.

Wanda was a whole other kettle of fish.

I say bring her back. I think that if Greg needs Wanda to boost traffic, let him deal with the consequences. If she behaves, then she deserves to be back and acknowledges that there are boundries you don't cross if you want to be here.

CJ, I was observing her posts at sitetutor.com and boy, it was all helpful. She's apparently got a personal vendetta against you for god knows why. If greg were to bring her back from the grave, I can only see sparks fly, unless both of you truce. Somehow.

I told WandaMay that if her banning was as she described, I would unban her, if she wished. She told me "I would only stir up things with my 'presence' and I won't do that too you."
I took out all her extra periods.

So I guess this is a moot topic now.

Honestly, what do you expect WM to say greg? The banning was a slap on the face... give people some pride left, willya.
