Hi all,
I was hoping to get some pointers on purchasing a domain. I’m trying to find a domain that ends in “UP.” I’ve actually been trying for a while and either get no response or ridiculous replies… like 300,000 for lup.com. I’ve sent email and postal letters to owners of *1-9 and a-z*UP.com and nothing.
Depending on the domain, I’ve made offers and am willing to purchase for 5k-20k.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how to approach people on purchasing domains? My luck has been super crappy. Is there some magical email format?
Thanks,
Scott

GetUp.BIZ $25 (OK, probably not the extension that you want...but it's cheap!)

I have sent many emails in reverse trying to sell a name cheaply. The user can have something 'Amazing-Deals1.net' and you offer them 'AmazingDeals.com' for $100 and you'll never hear from them! That one is a dramatization but I have made similar offers for names that mimic this.

To buy, you may want to try offers through Sedo.com or NetworkSolutions.com. Those are guaranteed offers (to a degree) and may be taken more seriously by some. Who knows??!

Good Luck!

This guy is obviously ignoring all PM's so my guess is that he don't want any domains after all. :sigh2:
