Web design for Q&A site

Does anyone have any suggestions on a site for technical discussions, where I will be posting articles, and allow people to post replies or comments,
but also allow people to post a question and others reply?

My experience for this would be to just install a forum on site, but I do not know if forums are good from an SEO, ad placement or revenue standpoint, as opposed to doing this inside of a db driven site that looks liek pages (or a blog look)

Sorry, but my tools experience is limited to forums and blogs. This might actually be a common web site component.

What u can do is install IPB forum orVB forum the best 2 forum softwares and dont worry about seo it can be manged while ucna palce ads in forums almost whereever u like so its the most simple easy and useful way

Could do something like slashdot and have a blog where people actually post legit comments.
