Please do not include Dreamweaver or Frontpage with you recommendations.

I'm looking for a package that offers quick drag and drop page design plus also offers extra's like search engine submission and optimization, oh and is dirt cheap.

Your advice is as always highly appreciated.

hmmmm Free isn't cheap enough? heheheh.
FP is THE newbie program for that reason.
when your starting out, you have to be
cautious about investing in tools you don't need yet.

For that reason, FP and DW are here to stay....

Dirt cheap yet quality program that does all of this? None that I know of.

I'd recommend spending some money and going with DW. It's well worth every penny and is one of the best out there for all uses.

Simply put, there is no program out there, that will let you drag and drop tables, css, (etc.) and one click your way to a stunning website. Websites require work.

i just use the WYSIWYG editor with cpanel, and i learned more and more html, and now i just type it flat out

like Dan said, grab an HTML/CSS book and learn how to code .... Even DW will come up with errors in CSS that you'd have to manually troubleshoot and fix afterwards...

Yes, try NetObjects Fusion then.
