Let's say I have 100 related domains that all got developed into minisites within 7 days that all have similar keywords and they linked to one another.

I've been reading around that linking to your own sites too quickly can get you flagged on search engines as it's considered spamming. Is this true?

How far along must you space out development and linking sites together to make this okay?

Any thoughts or tips from others who have done this are much appreciated.

I'm doing the same thing through the minisite provider I use, but I do it very carefully and every link is contained within unique article. Overall, I'd say 100 links spread over 4-5 mo would look natural to SEs. Some new links from social media portals added whithin same time frame would help too.

What I've been doing now is making 5 minisites a day that link to the previous days 5 minisites so that it won't be considered spam. Then with the 5 new sites, I will manually submit them to 10 relevant Wordpress blogs in comments the first day, 5 the second and 2 the 3rd with one every week. Will this be a problem?

If it's all on same hosting acct., I don't think it will help you much for SEO.
I think you need different C class ip for it to work.
There are hosting company that offer different C class ips, but, it cost more.

Let us assume you have 100 sites with 10 sites on each IP. Is there much of a seo difference between using say 10 ip's all in the same block (numbered consecutively) compared to using 10 c-class ip's (which I assume would be 1 IP used from 10 different blocks)?

I wander about C class IP issue myself. On one hand - it seems logical to try to spread sites to as many IPs as possible, on the other hand - look at godaddy: they probably host 1000s of sites on one IP (i think).

It would be VERY interesting to see what happens with your ring on short and long terms. Pls keep us posted.

IMO though, you need 500 sites to develop 50 without the risk of being marked as spam. Also, I hope you create unique and meaningful content in which those links are embedded.

How many external links should be placed on one site? All 100 or less than 10?

I doubt this will be a long lasting strategy, for a number of reasons:
-Easy for search engines to detect.
-Hosting is all with one provider, on one single IP address.
-You need to get links from other sources as well, not only your own sites in your own name.
