I'm not quite sure what you're talking about coolhost but we had an email from verisign indicating the drops would resume mar 2 or 3 (they weren't sure) at the 2 pm EST.

Of course we'll be running on the 2nd which is the date they should resume.

Thanks, GM! The info above should be taken for what it's worth ... it's just another "opinion" floating around! However, I'm going with it, personally.
PS. I believe that individual's info comes from a different Registrar. I dunno about that part.

Coolhost, if verisign was to "lie" to us about their intentions they'd be facing a a massive lawsuit. Because of their ownership position in our competitors they do need to avoid such situations.

I don't know where your other party gets his/her info but I have mine in writing from the head of the verisign registry.
