In just a few years this large purchase has gone from Girls.mobi & Stocks.mobi sell for $119,000

Buyer:
Paul Chmiel about his purchases: “I acquired Girls.mobi because of its extremely high overture of two million, moreover, this plural version is better than the mTLD reserved singular version.” The sale price was $ 49,000.

Having to put in words why he bought Stocks.mobi was ‘hard’ for Chmiel: “I purchased it because…, because…, well because it's STOCKS.mobi!! In my view it is a top 10 name for mobile surfing. When people start surfing the web on their phone, they think weather, news, sports, and stocks.” Chmiel continues: “It too has a high overture, a high PPC and goes well with my first love, Invest.mobi, which is almost developed and will be a very nice site.” The agreed price for Stocks.mobi was $ 70,000.

The last thing Chmiel wanted to share with us was: “I feel Stocks.mobi to be a $ XXX,XXX name and much higher in a few years.” Dotmobiz cannot agree more…

to today... all parked. Too bad for mobi - when people go on their phones they don't think of it. :disappointed:

If these sold again since - well my bad but still. Considering the keywords they should at least have a simple ass website...

mtld hyped up the extention so much but then did basically nothing at all to make sure it became the mobile standard. I still cringe to think some mobi names I have would have sold for low to mid xx,xxx around the same time those sold.

2006: introducing the second the next biggest TLD after .com
2007: "we will bury you"
2008: "mobile gonna be huge"
2009: mobile Internet usage is surging
2010: mo-what ?

Now you could tell the same story with .tel instead of .mobi.
History repeats itself and domainers never learn.

Well, that is a damn shame.

I have live sites and parked sites (.mobi) making money.

It would take a hundred or more to get parking rev. back for that $119K.

These ended up in the wrong hands, obviously.

I know a few people who could turn these (especially stocks) into literally money machines as live sites.

Hmm...I bet they are reading this thread and thinking about contacting the owner.

he, he, he...I just completed a $5K sale and a 500 euro sale.

I have had more Mobi sales in the past few months than ever.

No, no, no...not on this forum but thru Sedo and private contact.

Call me crazy, but these two in particular went to Canada and Germany.
