Bought a 3 letter us name for $10 and sold yesterday $500 to an end user.
They are considered "crap letters" but you never know.

Johnn that's the beauty of domaining.

One domainer's 'crap' could be an end user's 'treasure'.

Ultimately not many $10 investments lead to that that awesome ROI. Always nice to see.

More in renewals bills. That's the other side of the coin.

It's just luck and a numbers game and Johnn's number simply came in. Letting them expire may be best since it's not worth the hassle of selling them for $10 or a bit more or waiting forever and paying renewals to possibly get some reasonable sales one day in the distant future.

Your end-user was the previous owner of the domain name, and the domain was dropped. Then he found that out and bought it back from you. I know that. It happened to me too.

I think I bought it from you so the previous owner is you!:cheesy:

I sold one last year for 2K. Both of the end users are US citizen living abroad.

I drop names that doesn't perform. I feel good that someone captured the domain, and applied their marketing approach. If I see them parking the domains, then I've done that for many years, and it will end the same conclusion.

Yes, I bought names for cheap and resell it for a good return of investment, but not all domains receive the same results.

I prefer to invest my $10, that I know I have purpose, and not rely on luck of selling to end-user.
