I must be ignorant...wouldn't be the first time.

Can someone please tell me what it means when a thread owner says "up" in the comments on his/her post?

It’s to bump a sales thread.
Ah... that's what I thought. But if no one else is commenting on the original post...wut's the point? Oh well, I guess it works.... Thanks, man....

BTW, I followed your link and found your Amish Recipe book. I, too, grew up very near to Amish country in Frederick MD, just below the Mason-Dixon Line. My mum's folks were all farmers, who came over in 1720 of Swiss-German heritage, Maryland wasn't even a state back then. I had two great Aunties, Eva and Pearl (92 and 94, respectively), and man...could they cook! No Keto, or no Paleo, either. Good, healthy, natural, farmer grub. My mum, too. Pearl and Eva almost took their recipes to their graves, but Mum learned from them, so she made me and my four siblings hand-written family recipe books for Christmas after they passed.

Fond memories of a bygone, peaceful, simpler, more graceful, era.

Thanks again, man.

Take care,

Steve

It is to bump it to the top of the recent posts list. We don’t allow it more than once a day.

Forum bumping means that when someone comments on a post, the entire thread is automatically moved to the top of its category. Threads are sorted based on the most recent comment.

Does this make sense? :)

Hi, I think it was even more than that.. @DNF Admin, is it 72-hours? .. and this restriction applies to the marketplace categories only.
