I thought this would be a fun thread.

What domain names have you sold that went on to be successful websites? They don't have to be huge websites or anything, but domain names that you sold that you found out actually turned into something decent.

What about domains you DROPPED that someone hand registered and actually made something out of it?

eMoneyGram.com

I don't know it this qualifies. After a trip to trademark court in 2001, they bought it instead of taking it. Two years later I had to call and remind them to update the whois and take the domain out of my name. They finally put up a crap website after that.

Check the wayback machine.

A few examples:

Movies.SC - nice to see a .SC domain actually being used for a South Carolina site! (I don't know how "successful" it is, though.)

Smiles.TV - the first .TV I sold.

GreenMoms.com - I had turned down some other offers, but sold it to this woman pretty cheap because she was friendly and sincere and wanted to help the world, and I'm a softy. :)

:P This might be a depressing thread.
Here's a cheerier spin on it: what domains have you sold for good money, only to see the buyer do nothing of any real value with them? :)

Example: Segues.com - got a $2k+ offer out of the blue at Afternic a couple years ago, happily sold it, never figured out why the buyer wanted it that much.
