From past few days(nearly 9 days) i didnt see many people visiting/trading on domains for sale forum.

Previously i used to see nearly minimum 40 to 90+ registered users used to be online by trading their domains. But from past 9 days i didnt see this figure touching 50.

Why there is a sudden drop in members visiting forum? Is this reflects that domain resale industry in Problems?????? Just Inquire and Post your reasons.

Maybe the vast amounts of real premium domains is getting scarce.
Domainers are trying to hold on to their best stock.

Two reasons come to mind ...

* DNF was very, very slow earlier in the week.

* Email notifications regarding replies weren't getting out to everyone.

On a related note, DNForum emails are now being sent as UTF-8 which means some people likely are not seeing them if using an old email reader and/or their webmail program isn't setup to handle UTF-8 by default.

A 3rd reason:

My kudos to DNForum. Recently, there has been a greater awareness & crackdown on the sale of bogus traffic domains. Word has spread that domains with illegitimate traffic will not be showcased & pushed in this marketplace. Therefore, this has caused some fraudsters to flee.

I agree with Mike. DNF is becoming more safer to do business with. :)

Check the people to avoid dealings with forum. It will show who not to deal with. Usually I do not purchase a traffic domain for this reason. Especially those sold according to Sedo traffic, etc.

As mentioned above, I believe it is because emails are not being sent, plus the forum has been slooooooow.

One overlooked reason could be that its spring break. Anyone with kids may have taken off for a vacation....for may it started Thursday and will continue through a week from tomorrow. Could be a lot of folks out of town -- at the beach. Just a thought.

Dana:

This forum has thousands of elite entrepreneurs from Japan, Germany, Canada, Britain, etc. and others from hundreds of countries. Midwest teenie boppers represent a very miniscule demographic with respect to DNForum. This forum does not slow during Thanksgiving,Christmas & Hanukkah.

People have learned that 99% of the names posted are totally worthless.

Hi,

It does seem the slow down of the forum is back to normal as it is moving quite quickly for me.

The email notification issue has also been resolved. I will have the UTF-8 coding looked into Monday.

Thanks

It appears UTF-8 is not used all the time, but rather is only used when subject headers include non-ascii characters, such as IDN names, etc ... so no need to fix.

actually i think it's because all the trading use to be done under one roof now there are 5 different forums ... domains fixed price, domains offers, domains with traffic, idns and developed websites for sale.

if you add up the total viewing each it's still pretty high
