What is going on with the major search engines?

When I made searches tonight on Yahoo and Msn, I got results that provided descriptions that are directly relevant to my typed keywords,
but the links go to totally irrelevant sites. I'm looking for furniture and I end up at a casino or a loan site. Or, even a different search engine.
