Subdomain (subdomain) is a domain that comes after a higher level domain. The domain zone is considered the first level domain.

Let's say you have a website (example.com), then you can create a subdomain for free, your hoster allows you

the subdomain will look like this (name.example.com)

Did I understand your question correctly?

A subdomain is, as the name would suggest, an additional section of your main domain name. You create subdomains to help organize and navigate to different sections of your main website. Within your main domain, you can have as many subdomains as necessary to get to all of the different pages of your website.

A subdomain is, as the name would recommend, an extra area of your primary space name. You make subdomains to help arrange and explore various segments of your principle site.

It goes like this:

In example.com - “com” is the TLD (Top Level Domain) and “example” is the SLD (Second Level Domain). You can create as many subdomains as you want under your SLD.

For instance if you want the shop and the blog areas of your website to be separated you can create subdomains: “shop.example.com” and “blog.example.com” So you will actually have 3 separate websites that you can interconnect.

There is two types of TLDs (Top level domains) - gTLD (generic top level domaons) and ccTLD (country code top level domains).

With some of the ccTLD’s is a bit weird. Let’s take “example.co.uk” - it looks like “example” is a subdomain, but it’s actually not. You can call it 3LD (Third level domain). The ccTLD for United Kingdom is “.uk”, the “co” part is the ccSLD and “example” is the 3LD.

And you can create the same subdomains under this one: “shop.example.co.uk”; “blog.example.co.uk”; “alex.example.co.uk” and so on...

Hopefully I explained it well. :)
