what is track back url in bookmarking?

I think track back URL means back link for our site.
We do SB for our site & increasing back links & decreasing Alexa rank.

Trackback is a means that permits you to connect your published link with an additional website. It is primarily considered vital for social bookmarking where one has to preserve trackbacks. Suppose you own a company named as ABC so you have listed it in some social bookmarking site, here you may use trackback to refer the same link to some other sites also. However, you should be sure that the site which you've got referred is a very trusted site such as Wiki, and many others.

Trackback url is basically applied in Blogging sites or blogs. By using trackback, you can automatically notify another blog about your new entry and a link to your entry will appear in that blog's list of trackback pings. Now visitors to the other blog will be able to come to your blog!

Trackback means the approved link that you will get after posting your website will link on that url which is the trackback. When you have a post for example and you want it to automatically link on your post, it will appear in your comment system.
