Ok, an obvious typo squat would be something like - 'microsotf'
what about other names, like if there was a site called 'terrierdogs' (any domain extension), and someone else registered 'terrierdog' in the same extension. If the first site was very popular, the second one might get some traffic from mis-types, but it is still a fairly generic term.
Or, what about if a site was called 'NewYorkRestaurants', and it's very popular, and someone comes along and regs 'NewYorkRestaurant', and also gets some mis-typed traffic from the first site.
Or again, if a site was called "SitesofLondon" and gets lots of traffic, someone comes along and regs "SitesLondon" and is getting traffic from the first site.
Is there some grey area here or are all these the same? If the second name is still fairly generic, and only gets traffic from the first site, is it still a typosquat? Looking for some interesting debate here and may be more examples...
