I'm wondering if I will invest in .IN domain name soon. So I would like to ask other members here to share your "premium" .IN domains.

Thank you,
Em

Anyone looking to open a deli in India? I have newdeli.in.
If most of your customers eat inside, you might also want dining.in.

:)

Generally I stick with .COM, .INFO and maybe .US... but .IN caught my eye due to their growing economy, the shortness of the extension, the pervasiveness of English there, my being impressed with their culture, and maybe also the fact that .IN is part of .INFO :) I registered some with the intent of developing sites for search engine traffic. In particular -- US States. It is a bit of a wild gamble, but it struck my fancy and I think that it could work with development. As an example of what I might do -- see http://www.Wyoming.info .

Dommy,
Quite innovative about your plan to use the .IN
Since not many .in sites will be developed to target the Surfers from India.
.IN could be used for any of the following.
.INfo
.INterent
.INternational
.INdiana
.INdustry
From PPC perspective this works out much better than barnding as India specific domain.

Wheras .co.in will always remain Country(India) specific.

Yes. You are right about that. For example, I went checking and pretty much all the major Indiana cities are taken with the .IN TLD :) Someone else already thought of that!

Could go either way though. For example, if a state wants to have an outreach to economic trade with India, then could still have an application for actual Indian webusers. Maybe it is that my profession brings me in contact with so many well-educated, well-spoken Indians -- but I just have a good feeling about the future of this namespace for English domains -- moreso than I did with some other country code roll-outs during the past couple years.
