GoDaddy has been down for most of the last two days. I haven't been able to transfer ownership of some domain names.

I already know they're a cheap service, so one can expect this kind of thing to happen. Other than that, anyone know what gives?

Thanks.

UP for me.

imo, GoDaddy sucks. They cross-sell you like hell to squeeze the revenue figures up just because they sell "cheap". Wake up, everyone needs to feed their families and take that summer vacation.

I'm awake, mole. But thanks for your concern.
And yes, it does seem to be up at the moment.

Their site has always been up for me this morning, but their account management interface is NOT:

We are current performing maintenance to our My Account area.

This maintenance only affects My Account and not other portions
of our web site or our other services.

We expect the system to be back online on 12/17/02 at 8:00 PM (MST).
We appreciate your patience.

Right, nameslave... I just discovered that myself. Very frustrating. Has this happened before? If so, I'm transfering out of there.

They sure are bad at returning phone calls, even to prospective clients.

Tried calling them (Wild West Domains) a week ago to open a new reseller account and the voice mail said they would call right back - still waiting.

Their FAQ page is also not that good, with many obvious issues not discussed at all.

Perhaps I should stay with OpenSRS and keep on paying 1/3 more.
