Hi guys i let a domain expire a dnf newbie offers me $50 for it i tell him i'll explain to i might have trouble renewing it because its dropping ( he says thanks ) it takes me 3 days to renew it and also phone calls . I finally got i renewd then the guy says ( hi, sorry I thought it was a quad premium, I didn't know previously "u" is not a premium letter. I would like to cancel the purchase )

He wasted my time and phone calls to the register and made me pay $8 and said he dosent want it.

Well, if he wants to have a good start here at DNF then he should at least pay you $25 for the renewal fee and your hassle. If he starts his domaining career with bullshit like this then he might as well find another hobby.

Tell him that. :)

Highly dishonest and unethical. They wanted the domain, you spent money to renew it, and then they don't want it.

Doing the right thing will come back to him in a good way. Live & learn from your mistakes. Very good.

lol

what's interesting is the mindset of the buyer, being that they stated "u" is not a premium letter.

was it what they really believe, or was it what they told you... to keep the price low?

thus, "one or both of you" truly believe that the domains' value should be, or is dictated by a pricing guide.

maybe he's a newbie to the forum, but not a newbie to domaining

and that says a lot to me

if he ends up selling the domain for $,$$$....you'll be wishing you had kept the name and just let him walk.

but i'm happy you got the cash, if you're happy :)

imo...

The way you handle this transaction is not good enough. You can ask him to pay first, then renew the domain. If you fail to renew, then refund in full.
