Ok,

So I have been out of it for the past 2 months and so I logged into one of my many domain registrar accounts (so damn hard to consolidate)..and I find that there is this new extension..ok cool...so I see many names are available..and I am wondering why..so i go for the main ones....only 20€ per year...Then I chose 3 and went to try to purchase...the total amount was over 1k€ and you know why...because they charge a 350€ setup fee..WTF!

This is getting real stupid now...go back to the old days! who ever fills out the reg form the fastest gets the domain.

I think, from what I read on Rick Latona's blog, that it is going to allocate names on a lottery basis.

Also from there, and this is important, it will not act like other TLDs in that it won't bring up A records for instance and will use the DNS system very differently. How is explained but left me more confused!
