What's the best free screen capture prog. ?

Would like to do some screenshots. Can anyone recommend a good free screen capture program? Thanks.

I've started with printing to PDF.

Windows has it built in. Just click the Print Screen button and it captures it. Then, paste in paint or photoshop.

Alt-PrtScrn will capture the active window, as opposed to the whole screen.
