are these names only for people in the UK?

are they better than a .org or .tv?

thanks

Anyne can register them. As far as a comparison with .org and .tv goes: They are far, far better than both. Incomparable really.

so a co.uk is like a .com? b/c i have a really good name, and its co.uk

Put it up for appraisal so we can all see it :)

.co.uk is used more frequently than .com in the UK but in terms of value cannot really be compared to .com as .com is global tld. In terms of use they are very similar other than .com targets a global audience and .co.uk targets a UK audience.

The value with .co.uk at the moment comes predominantly with generic, one word or two word domains, i.e. taste.co.uk (sold for $230,000) There isn't really any value for 'almost' good domains like yours in the .co.uk market.

It is well known that in terms of registered names first comes .COM but then comes .DE and .CO.UK extension and after that is .NET and .ORG!

.co.uk isnt really close to .com but it is very high up.... way ahead of .info, .cc, .tv, .org

If I absolutely had to make a comparison, id probably put it around the same kind of sale values as .de and perhaps slightly better than .net from what ive observed.

people...
you can not compare apples and oranges.
something that is 'inn' in the UK might benefit with co.uk, sure, but somthing inn in the rest of Europe, can benefit much more from .info
the same goes for Germany and .info
info is universal, while co.uk is local
there are domains that a .net is much better than co.uk
and vice versa.
To establish a universal rule for everything is as lame as things get.
co.uk has its place.
It is not a subtitue for .net, and, certainly not for .info

i dont like .tv too much. But they are known to be used for tv shows.
The big (and dumb) Eurovision contest here in europe uses eurovision.tv
I have seen quite a few .tvs advertised, so if you have a big hit TV show name, and the .com isnt available, then I guess .tv is pretty good.
they are also hard to sell.
