Wow, you are correct.

Normally, 20,000 to 25,000 .com and .net domains drop per day.

On the 24th, 369,000 domains are dropping.

Good thing it is a monday. Normally, the catchers (especially Enom) have
difficulty in functioning efficiently on weekends.

I don't know if it is an error at Verisign, or if those domains are actually dropping?

I'm having difficulty in loading the list.

If that many domains are actually dropping, I think the domain tasters will
have difficulty on that day.

greenlight20, thanks for the heads up. If 369,000 domains are really dropping, I'm sure to snag a few gems.

I figured it out. Directnic while during domain tasting did not drop over 300,000 domains
during the 5 day grace period.

So, it cost them $ 2 millions since they did not drop the domains within the freebie
time frame. Assuming Verisign did not cut them a deal.

I assume Verisign did. Because, why drop them if you already paid for them?

Most of the ones I saw were junk. Most of them start with "P" "R" and "S".

This thread should be renamed:

Domain Taster accidentally swallows a "Big Load", then spits.

I grabbed 7 today with a drop script - the first time I've gotten any that way on the day of the drop in ages. Some even had Overture (w/o extension). I guess nobody wanted to taste those after DirectNIC spit them out.
