Has anyone noticed that there are many 'new' people posting here that have joined dates going as far back as early 2002?
I noticed many of them.
Is this some sort of technical problem with new subscriptions?

I think the newsletter dnf sent out about invites woke a lot of sleeping members up.

ok. I see.
I was just surprised to see so many members that I had not seen with very few posts with join dates from 2002.

I know its a long shot. But I did see it last year on ebay.
I distinctly remember someone selling his dnforum membership with all log in details.
So I thought maybe a lot of old timers that arent in the business were selling the accounts, especially with the free invite and all.

ok thanks. Memberships are non-transferrable, so we will look out for those.

Mind you that some of our newer members actually dug up some REALLY old threads, like the first thread started by Dan back in March 2002. My observation is actually the opposite: VERY FEW of those oldbies (who joined before September 2002) are hanging around; there are probably just a handful or so, including me yours truly, who actually still post on a daily basis.

Some just post when they have something to say.

a quick 'tour' around the forums, and you will see quite a few 2002 dates with 'newbie' under their name and less than 20-30 posts. Also, they just reappeared out of the blue apparently. I am not talking about old threads coming back, but old accounts.
I just thought it was strange.
