I was browsing Sedo and Ebay for domains and/or websites and was just amazed by the trash on Sedo. I knew Ebay was full of trash, but at least they have a functional search tool Sedo is just useless.

Think ebay you will find more names for 100 million $'s. You sure have to sort through eBay.

Can't argue with that. Kinda looks the same on Sedo though maybe a smaller scale.

there is bound to be some bad or really crappy and worthless names wherever listing them in the first place is free.. ie; sedo, afternic, etc.

for me, it's easy to find what i'm looking for on sedo.. don't know why you were having a hard time. just use the "advanced search"

I would prefer sedo over ebay,Ebay does have some nice DNs listed every now and then,But they are few and far between imo,Sedo has a nice selection of premuim DNs,But can be somewhat over priced at times.Sedo has been dependable for Buying DNs for me,Ebay on the other hand can be risky as i always check a DN for being stolen before ever placing a bid on a name there.

Dunno about that, there's at least as much trash on Sedo, IMO.

Yeah Im beginning to think listing domains on sedo apart from perhaps to sell then exclusively is a waste of time myself to!

I think the problem with Sedo is that everytime you enter a new domain, they actively DISCOURAGE you from not listing it for sale. The best way to work with Sedo is to use their domain brokers, who are pretty helpful and can help you search through the @#&* to find what you want

Thanks for that suggestion. Have you use their domain brokers?

eBay listings are always good for comic relief…

When you need a good laugh, check out listings like the following:

-------------------------------------------------------------

Title: 100+ Premium Level Domain Names – CLEARANCE SALE

Buy it Now Price: $95,000,000

-------------------------------------------------------------

Uh, did you say CLEARANCE SALE?

Of course you did. I like to “clear out” my rubbish domains for close to a hundred mil too!

And premium level domain names…

Well, adding random numbers and hyphens to domains ALWAYS makes them premium.

Yes...eBay listings always provide some comedy.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Peter,

I agree with those who said to use the search function at Sedo. That's your best bet.

Best of luck to you, my friend.
