I just saw a thread someone is complaining that someone did not pay for a domain.
And OP is bashing the member and asking the non paying member be banned.

My understanding is banning is for someone who cheat.
-- Even if that amount is small
Negative iTrader is for not a happy trade.

If someone don't pay for a domain until they take control of the domain what did you loose.
-- Some time

Why bash that member and request the member be banned.

I am not clear where is the line?
What is the best process for us as a community?

I am just trying to understand.

I can't see banning members for non-payment...that is what the iTrader rating is for.

However, an accumulation of iTrader negs is cause for concern.

I am looking at two recent non-paying members. Rather than iTrader ratings, I think I'll just bar them from future sales. Whether by PM or by posting, sold is sold. Ignoring emails and no response from the buyer while that buyer is still active on the forum just plain sucks. If they ignore one PM and posting in the thread, then I have no problem ignoring them.

I don't see bashing members for one non payment as a good way to be a good seller.

I just read one thread today, I just added the OP to my ignore list - Not a friendly seller.

Buyer may have one or more reasons for backing out, as long as the seller did not steal anything from you - I fell like moving on..

If take the domain and not pay it is a different case!

May be it is just me!

There are exceptions to every rule.

Just because someone didn't pay (and hopefully you didn't push the domain before payment!) doesn't always mean negative feedback. To me (personally) communication is the key. If someone put a bid on a name then send me a PM with an explanation why they can't pay I wouldn't leave feedback (unless it became the norm). I've been in a situation like that before (I put in a bid and then something happened - I sent the seller a PM explaining the situation).

Now if they ignore communications then I'd say leave negative feedback.

Thanks dagger that is what I am talking about.

Some times I post sold, and see that it is a typo or has a extra letter at the end or in the beginning and do not want to buy the domain.

It should be a friendly environment not just bash each other for small reasons.

Itrader is for feedback on domain transactions, good or bad.

Banning is reserved for domain thieves or people that constantly break the forum rules.

We don't ban people because a transaction goes bad.

Some OP's expect way too much and expect us to ban for a transaction that didnt go well, that won't happen.
