Where to find local programmers?

Hi,

Me and a partner are persueing a new venture and are ready to hire programmers.

Due to the magnitude of this project, we are going to find a local programmer (as opposed to someone online) to contract for a month or so. Where would we go about finding freelancers in the Toronto area?
