In the past I have never been a great lover of parking domains, to me the parking companies seemed to be getting royalties on the domain names owned by the owners, and what is more treating the domainers like mushrooms (kept in the dark and feeding them manure).

Previously my best relationship was with Parked.com, but an incident occurred whereby one of my names was seriously attacked with a kind of dos attack and Parked were unable to help me find the culprit/s, so we parted company. I have tried Sedo, who hasn't, and the less said the better there.

Now though having returned and registered/purchased a few hundred domains in the past week I wanted to find out if any received any traffic, and as I register most of my domains at GoDaddy I thought I would give them a bash, I remembered reading somewhere that they only paid out every 3 or 6 months or whatever, but as parking income was not my primary concern that didn't bother me. So I go to my GoDaddy account and log in, click on the parking link and what do I find? Bloody hell, GoDaddy expects me to pay them to park my domains and for them to earn money from my domains! What is worse is of course the fact that they are already making money from having adverts on my domains whilst I am not parking them. Talk about a bloody cheek! (Oh yes, and their templates are totally rubbish.)

So for now I have parked the domains back at Sedo, something I never ever thought I would ever do again. I do not want to park the domains at Sedo, but what choice have I got? My domains are mainly geo-domains and I cannot even find appropriate settings on the Sedo menu for geo-domains, but at least I can find out if any does get type-in.

So can anyone suggest a parking company good for geo-domains? I would like one whereby I can at least get the keywords specified to the location if possible. Most traffic is expected to be from North America.

Any help would be much appreciated. :eek:k:

That´s called schizophrenic.

I believe here you can also park your names:

The sad thing is that there isn't a one size fits all solution. Some domains do horrible with Parking company A and do great with Parking company B - the real sad thing is that it can take you a couple of months to find out if one is good or not. :(

Parked.com is by favorite - they allow custom content at the bottom of the page helping you get some search engine traffic plus easy to contact for domains you're selling.

While Sedo isn't my favorite, their escrow service is nice but to get the 10% fee (and no minimum) your domain needs to be parked with them for at least 30 days.

I just started to try Bodis with a couple of domains with some traffic but no clicks - we'll see how that goes.

Afternic was a waste of time with me - 6 months and absolutely no income.

I'm also giving NameDrive a try with an IDN of mine - it's not going well (I may drop the domain anyway).

try NameDrive. you will not regret it I have started parking with them pretty recently and have found that their stats and reporting are by far the best I have ever seen. I have used Parked, Sedo, and DomainSponsor, and NDs reporting blows them out of the water imo. you can see what keywords people are searching on and clicking on your domain, modify your template accordingly (even modify by region, eg. Latin America, Asia, North America, etc,) and then it keeps tabs on whether your changes improve your CTR or lower it, so you can always revert back to previous settings very easily.
