Do frequent scans with Ad-Aware ( www.lavasoft.com ) and SpyBot and you should be ok. Remember to update the definitions each and every time you run a scan.

I use AVG 8.0. It has both anti-virus and anti-spyware built into it. Best of all its free!!!
