Right now I have a few domains scattered across several domain registrars:

Some old ones at Netsol
several at Bulkregister
a few at GoDaddy
and a random one at 000domains.com

Some of the domains I own aren't critical to my business, but some REALLY REALLY are. My question:

Of all the reg companies out there... which one(s) do you all trust the most to hold your most prized domains? Is it worth paying more (Bulk Reg is like $14 v Go Daddys $8.95) for a place you trust more?

Thanks in advance for your opinions

I rather have lock on than nolock and have my domain hijacked.

netsol - never use the again.
BulkRegister - I love em, but it's $12 a domain and $80 to join
GoDaddy and 000domains - not bad
Enom - only if you are a full ETP or have an account from a reseller you trust.

000domains.com is an OpenSRS/Tucows reseller. I've never heard of any complaint against them except that they are a bit more expensive, but that's worth it.

By the way, Network Solutions just lost one-third of their business (i.e. more than 4 million registration) in less than a year's time; and numbers don't lie.

I use BulkRegister, Enom and Stargate (moving away from them like a bat out of hell), but I trust Bulk Register with my most precious domains, lock or no lock. As they were around much longer, their system is more stable plus they have progressed very nicely. I hope to be able to trust Enom just as much, in time to come.

Nameslave, thanks for that great news!

000Domains.com is my favorite. I've only had to use their support a couple times over the past few years, and each time I contacted them, they responded very quickly.

eNOM by far, although NetworkSolutions seems to be getting their act together and if you don't mind paying $35/yr to renew your name.

You can always consider a reputable eNom reseller. I personally like www.dnbuy.com but then again I may be a little biased:) Here is a note I got from one of our customers today that gurther convinces me that Dnbuy is the best place to be:

"Hello Jim... thanks for the prompt reply and explanation. I was a bit nervous for awhile, however certainly understand and appreciate your efforts. By the way - I really want to let you know your customer service and support is outstanding. This is a major item for me because in my real life I'm the Director of Quality for a large contract manufacturer and customer satisfaction is my job. I have been with you for a year now with multiple domain names and find it refreshing using your service.
