I've had two rejected from past auctions (and banned) that coincidentally sold for $275 and $500 respectfully after they were over. I have 10 other similar domains that I put a reserve of 99 to 149 in just now, but most were previously banned. Do they not want commish on mid XXX sales?

Can't they valuate on past sales? A lot of the domains they do approve don't meet reserve, don't sell or are just pigeon shit.

Hi

from another perspective....

if the names sold for < $1k, are they or were they, really in the category of "Great Domains"?

as the quality of listings there, is not what it was when first conceived.

imo...

Yeah, GreatDomains used to have killers, now they have a lot of pigeon shit that never sells. I had 2 domains rejected, and month(s) later a buyer found me for $275 and $500. It doesn't make sense. I submitted the other "like" domains to see if they're approved as there is a track record of a need for them, but time will only tell.

The only good one up now is expectants.com, toxicologist.com, vaccinate.com, cream.net and espresso.net IMO.

Poor Judgment:
woobs.com (Urban Dictionary, large boobs?)
whispers.me
2 IDN's
.info's
and ccTLD's

GD used to be respected but that was a long time ago, well before the Se.do takeover.
It was before Verisign bought them. When Verisign bought GD, they started listing .cc and .tv domains and the marketplace was never the same again.

Still, having a limited amount of domains is great exposure for an auction... but who picks the crap to be put up? Do they just throw a dart at a board of names they print out on a poster size paper with all the applications 100 times?

i'll tell you the answer, but it stanks.com

the names get printed on sheets of toilet paper,

the guy who picks the names goes and takes a crap

before flushing he wipes his ass, then looks at the toilet paper

any names he can read, get listed

those he can't, get flushed

Not just GD, are you receiving newsletter domain names for sale? They use to be great but not anymore. :(
