Hey Everyone!

I have been wondering about this for awhile now. When ever i check for LL.(any ext) in SEDO it would say it is available but when I got to register one at domainsite.com it tells me something about AFTERNIC.

So who have the LL.(any ext)?

.us - .biz - .info
do not offer LL

the .net and .com's are all taken

.org you have to get from current owner, if it drops, the registry keeps it.

That's interesting, but does anyone know the reasoning behind why .org's are grandfathered 2 character only and biz/info/etc don't have 2 character domains?

Seems weird for com/net to have them, but the other extensions are taboo. Was it a political/influencial move by some group that lobbied for it, or some kind of logical reasoning behind it?

or maybe to stop people setting up sub domains like those guys at .eu.com and selling them off as ccTLD's
