Is there anyway to find the previous owner of a domain name?

Sometimes Google has it in their cache memory. Try searching by the domain name, and if you find the site, "cache" it.

There is another way too, I believe, maybe someone will post it.

Sometimes if you use "www.archive.org", you can look to see what use to be there. Then see if you can find an email address, or contact information. I'm not sure if there is a way to see old whois information.
