Phone- only from Aplus.net
Mail- only from DROA/DROC

It's not that bad (for me).

Maybe my names aren't good enough :'(

I've recommended it once and I will again:

1) Take one of your domains that you are unlikely to sell (personal names work well).
2) Forward [email protected] to the address which you would like receive domain info at.
3) Replace your email contact with [email protected] in all your domain records.

Not even the most stupid of spammers will intentionally spam an "abuse@" email address- doing so is just asking for trouble. In fact, at least from what I understand, most spamming programs will automatically remove these type of addresses. Before I did this, I was receiving about ~20-40 spams a day on my address listed in the whois (which was only used in the whois). Since which, about a year ago, I have received maybe 4 spams total at the new address.

Edit: Perhaps you'd consider donating some DNF$ if you find this info to be helpful

This has to be one of the best theories I've seen in a looong time.

Before I try it... can anyone else vouch that it's worked long-term?

It's a major undertaking for many of us to change email addresses on all our domains.

Hmmm, do the robots see that? I thought they pick up any address they see.

Nope. Spammers (and legit mailers) usually scrub abuse@ addresses from their lists because it's often more of a hassle than it's worth to piss off the uptight keyboard jockey who reads that account.
