Why are some domains so new to parking and traffic stats are not available?

Why is it with so many domains for sale which are thought to have some traffic the stats can't be given because it was just parked today, yesterday or whatever, or it's been on ppc for several days but the channel indicating the individual domain stats was never set up, so only the overall account stats are available, or the ppc provider was changed so recently that there are no stats from the new provider yet?

Another oddity is a seller will say it had 1 or 2 clicks yesterday or day before and earned say .80c but does not give new stats and clicks for 2 days including the latest date, or total impressions for both days (even if asked)? One more happening is someone buys a name yesterday or today and is selling it immediately and before he had time to park it and say's it's real low priced today due to no stats but once he gets the stats tomorrow the price will go way up or it will be taken off the market?

I have been badly burned several times with those scenarios (but never again).

Those guys usually know why they are selling and you learned your lessons. I ignore such sales threads and am always curious which sap will buy it this time...

I feel that's because it's getting so tough to easily sell brandable names now or sell the many keyword names which could be developed and maybe get traffic in the future.

Everyone wants direct navigation names now vs several yrs ago when hardly anyone even knew what direct navigation was and brandable names or keywords with no traffic were still selling good.

An exception and surprising are the 4 letter com's and the odd 3 character names are still selling fairly well since few of them have any traffic.
