I have a serious case of Bob's Rug Syndrome - as outlined here by Rick Latona.
I rarely sell names (more of a collector and developer), and the second someone makes me an offer on a name I get greedy or nervous that I'll get taken, that it could be more down the road etc.
I got a phone call today about a hand reg 3 word name I bought in the past year. I do have plans for the site, but not as a full time business - more of a "this would make a nice adsense site". Round 1 of negotiation has me an offer of $4,000. Instead of saying wow, that's a nice profit - i'll build the site on another url and pocket $3992 - I'm stuck worrying about who the buyer might be, what I could miss out on etc.
Anybody else suffer from this affliction? The real way to make the money is buy / sell / upgrade /repeat - but I haven't been so good at that over the years. This time, I'm going to do it...
btw - I've had more inquiries about my domains in the past month than I have in the past year. Anybody else getting that?
