You can start by fixing alot of your links.. This one, among others, is not working http://www.onlinedebut.com/media/30/

Also, you can prolly get your CTR up a bit from under 1%, but don't count on hitting 10% on a video site. CTR on sites like that are generally not high. For a tip, try blending all ads in more. Maybe try non-traditional ad placements, i.e. instead of the standard sky banner maybe replace with a cube under the video or whatever. Mix it up

try making the adsense background color the same as the navigation background color.
IMO that will make a difference. Ads seem almost incidental as they are, by doing that they will appear like navigation.

I've had several video and "humor" related sites and still do, plus I know alot of webmasters (big and small) in this game, and it's pretty much the same across the board, unless of course you do the naughty "images next to textads"-thing :undecided:

So yes, it's from experience. If you want high CTR's you should persue a niche... Video sites is not a niche in itself

Lots of unrelated ads (due to nature of site) and probably untargetted traffic would be my guess. Adsense placement is OK.

how do you recommend monetizing the traffic? 95% of my traffic is coming from search terms in google.

and lately ive been seeing these video sites for sale in the FS forum that make $100-$400 a month.

and is the image thing you speak of a TOS issue with adwords?

Thanks for all the advice, i love this community!

Add some videos from Revver.com to your site. As a Revver affiliate you can earn money if someone clicks on the ad after the video. At least it's another revenue stream, they payout if you reach a minimum $20 per month. If you have a fairly high traffic site it's probably worth a try. There is more chance someone will click on the ad after a video than on an adsense ad on another part of the page, especially if they came to the site to watch videos.

Why don't you try Adsense Formats that actually have videos in them since it's a video site.
Video site, video ads... Makes sense...
