...rubbish at communicating?

I have sold two domains through Sedo auction recently one sold on the 20th March (28 days ago) and the other on the 8th April (10 days ago).

I have had many problems with these transactions.

Firstly, the first one I sold...On the transfer centre section where you can contact your 'agent' I have not had any form of contact for nearly 20 days. I have sent numerous messages asking what is happening but no reply. I have not received notification of payment or anything.

The second domain has been paid for however I have not receieved my money because it keeps telling me to update my payment details. I have done this and entered both my bank account AND paypal details.

I am getting absolutly no where with anything and what to know what is going on......Has anyone had a similar experience and if the first domain is not paid for what happens?

Hope someone can help and sorry for the long winded description.

Regards,

Nick.

This is why forums like DNF are good alternatives. :)

Hope you get what you paid for.

Seems sedo is building not-so good reputation nowadays. They should have routinary check-and-balance for their policies and procedures so domainers will not completely lose confidence in their service and post negative reviews like this. But what do I care if they don't care?

If you are real lucky, after having (I actually have lost count) numerous auctions unpaid for - now when I complain I am branded as someone who has an axe to grind. This does not solve the problem but it makes someone at Sedo feel better for attempting to put the blame on me.

Follow Theo's advice - post in the Sedo section.

Seriously, good luck. Hope things work out for you.

Nick,
Sorry for your troubles. locate the agent that you are supposed to be working with then send them an email directly. If they have a number which is quite unlikely.. get in contact with them.

Good luck!

Thanks for all the response guys...

I have rung sedo today and apparently my agent was located in another country so the guy I spoke to on the phone left him a note telling him to contact me. Hmmm....

I have just checked my emails and the transfer process says it is now cancelled...it even asks me to fill in a questionnaire about the sedo service...

It tells me that I can now issue legal proceedings but I don't really want to. Is there not any way of getting the domain put back into auction with no bids, but setting a reserve...this is a big inconveinence to say the least.

Regards,

Nick.

Hello Everyone!

Sedo's new Transfer Center is designed to provide an easier and safer way to communicate with your assigned Transfer Specialist. However, it may take up to two business days before you receive a response to the inquiry posted on the communication tool.

nparkin0 if you would like to send me a PM with the domain name in question, I can look into this issue further.

Sedo strives to provide excellent customer care and our Transfer Specialist are certainly committed to this.

If any of you do have issues receiving a response from the assigned Transfer Specialist in the future (after two business days), please let us know.

You can do this by contact Customer Care at [email protected] or by calling our office.

Although the Transfer Specialist may be located overseas, we do have agents here who would be happy to assist you.

Let me know if I can assist you in any way with this current situation.

What Sedo says and does are not the same, just like they give buyers 5 days to pay up yet in reality its 10+++ and if they decide not to pay for the name, nothing happens to them, they are free to bid on more names and not pay.

I dont know why these people arnt banned from Sedo, they will and are destroying Sedo as it is.

Dont feel too bad nparkin0 my transfer agent also ignored me for weeks as well.

Good luck...

Perhaps there is some faith that can be restored in the Sedo process after all.

After cancelling the transaction Sedo released the name and address of the winning bidder so I decided to do a bit of digging. I found several enteries in google relating to the buyer and subsequently found an email address.

On the off chance that someone may reply I emailed him and low and behold the buyer replied....Joy of joys!

He explained that it had all been a big oversight on his behalf and has now contacted Sedo to try and get the transaction reopened.

I have Pm'd SedoCoUk the details so it now rests in her, or someone else at Sedos hands as to whether this transaction goes any further.

Will update later for anyone that may be interested.

Carolyn,

These same issues have been brought up on this forum at least twice that I am aware of within the last month.

Each received a similar reply.

Here we are again addressing the same issue.

Is there a certain number of times that these problems have to be mentioned?

Honestly, I am doing a heck of a job biting my tongue. As much as I want to support Sedo, I am not too keen on being labeled as someone who has an axe to grind.

How many of sedo's customer's are given this honor due to the volume of complaints coming from that person?

Two things should immediately come to thought:

Why is he/she complaining so much?
How can we shut him/her up?

Neither of those options addresses or fixes the problem.

Sedo has a serious customer service issue.

When someone like you has to come on here repeatedly to address the same problems brought up (and addressed) a couple of weeks ago, does that not clue Sedo?
